[PJB's home page] [About me] [Addresses, GPG/PGP keys] [Lothlann]
I am currently a Principal Lecturer in the School of Computing at the University of Teesside. I started there in October 2005: before that I was at the University of Plymouth.
Some years before, I managed to escape from the University of York after three years of a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil) degree in Computer Science. My thesis, A Timed Semantics for a Hierarchical Design Notation, can be downloaded via http://www.cs.york.ac.uk/ftpdir/reports/YCST-99-08.ps.gz or ftp://ftp.cs.york.ac.uk/reports/YCST-99-08.ps.gz. Before that, I studied at the University of Cambridge, where I somehow gained a Mathematics degree and a Diploma in Computer Science.
My main research interests are increasingly eclectic, although primarily focused on formal methods and security. There is more information (including a list of publications) on my work research pages.
I volunteer in the Debian project; I have a trivial home page there.
